Dad's addition

Paris is a crowded, frenetic city with tourists and natives moving in all directions at  once. The streets can be  narrow, and with the unannounced and frequent appearance of scooters and motorcycles buzzing through at top speed, treacherous. It was unseasonably warm our first day. The Eiffel Tower is magnificent--I could stare at its curves and geometrical patterns all day.
